Looking Back Over the Past 5 Years

Diamond Parking is very proud of its fi ve years of operations in Edmonton, Alberta. In March 2006, Diamond Parking began operations with clients that included Scotiabank and Canada Safeway and now manage parking on over
120 properties. During our early years we committed our operation’s team to designing and implementing unique
parking solutions at retail centres, offi ce buildings, business parks and at residential complexes. We believe it is our commitment of delivering unique solutions for each property and our willingness to exactly address the client’s specific needs that has accounted for this growth.

One of our most interesting and challenging projects is the current renovations and re-launching of a parkade on 103 Street South of Jasper Avenue — “Park 103”. City Manager Todd Kosloski and Area Manager Jeff Mah are working hand in hand with the owner, Paragon Capital Corporation Ltd. to keep maximizing revenue during renovations in a safe and effective manner. They also provide invaluable input into the design and operational needs of the facility. This 600 stall parking garage is well situated to provide convenient parking for both office workers and customers of the surrounding office towers and retail.

To be certain, the challenges of effectively managing an expanding portfolio of properties can only be accomplished with strong leadership at all levels. Diamond’s City Manager, Todd Kosloski, has diverse experience in multi-unit retail management with national companies, and his management style is extremely team oriented. Jeff Mah, Area Manager, brings his retail and business background to effective and efficient management of parking and customer relations. Working alongside Jeff is Area Manager, Clive Johnson, who’s many
years in the restaurant and retail industries has provided him with unique insights into personnel management and maintaining Diamond’s singular focus on customer service.

Regional Vice President, David Potter, has been with Diamond Parking since the inception of the Edmonton Operation. Our key to growth and to continued success is having a willingness to create parking management solutions that exactly meet our client’s needs and then ensuring we continue to recruit and develop an operations team to meet those challenges.”

The phone is the future

Imagine parking lots with no pay boxes. Imagine paying for parking with your phone. Fantasy? No, future. And in a growing number of cities, Diamond Parking’s new Call To Park program is getting rave reviews. “Our customers love it,” says Kevin Campbell, Diamond’s General Manager of Parking Services. “We first tested the program in our University District area of Seattle. Due to its rapidly growing success, we now offer it in Anchorage, Honolulu, Maui, Kona, Eugene and in our Canadian operations.”

“We were amongst the fi rst operators in Canada to introduce the program,” says Mike Poirier, Regional Vice President of Diamond Operations in Vancouver BC. “We have had it in use in all Canadian cities for approximately six years.”

Call to Park customers can pay for their parking using their mobile phone for a fast and simple payment experience. Android and IPhone users simply download the mobile app from their respective app stores then log into the Call to Park website — www.calltopark.com.

“Our landlords and property owners are huge fans of the program because it provides another service to their customers,” notes Mr. Williams. Call to park eliminates the need for cash or turning your briefcase or purse inside out looking for correct change. Also, no inserting your credit card into an onsite pay box. Another plus, customers can extend their parking session by phone if a meeting or errand runs long and they will also receive an alert when their parking session is about to expire.
